As a thank-you to the nurses and doctors on the front line of the battle with COVID-19, porcelain Thun 1794 a.s. decided to make these tea or coffee mugs to help them stay awake calmly through the night. "For my proposal, I chose the veil as the central theme, not only because it has become a kind of symbol of the current situation, but I see it as a symbol of consideration and belonging.
The stylized faces of people of different age groups and genders symbolize our population, and in color the design draws from the Czech tricolor.
I trust the medics will be pleased with the mug's motive, reminding them that together we can do this.
Also, we appreciate their work, see it as very challenging and thank you for the dedication with which they have worked over the past few months."
